I always find Tanzanian woman look beautiful wearing their kangas and kitenges – so colorful and vibrant. I don't just wrap the kanga around my waist, it's not my style, but...I think I've found a compromise - European style dresses made from textiles used by African women.
I go to local markets to select from the rich variety of patterns. The shape of the dress is inspired by the pattern, so you can enjoy its unique beauty.
You can choose something from my collection called “Ole Africa!” or I can make a dress especially for you – in the colour which matches your beauty. It's also a great gift to bring from Africa.
All the dresses have names from areas of Dar es Salaam.
Absolutely fair trade
Do you know that embarrassing feeling when you want to tell how much against exploitation and children labour you are, but at the same time you're wearing your favorite shirt with a label of corporation which actually exploits people? I know it well and I'm not proud of it. Wearing Ole Africa! clothes you can be sure they are absolutely “fair trade”.
Feel pretty and special in your unique dress
